Gmail web is stopping POP checking for other mailboxes. Your hosting email can still be used in other ways.

Gmail “Check mail from other accounts” POP feature is being phased out. Use Webmail, IMAP, mail app, Outlook, Thunderbird, or forwarding instead.

- Gmail web may stop pulling external mail by POP.
- Some users may think hosting email is down.
Prevention
- This is a Google feature change.
- Hosting email can still use Webmail, IMAP, POP, and SMTP.

Option 1: Use Webmail
Login
https://yourdomain.com/webmail
Good For
- Quick email access from browser.
- No need Gmail POP checking.
- Useful when phone or computer mail app has issue.

Option 2: Use Mail App
Risk
- POP is old style email checking.
- Mail may not sync well across devices.
Prevention
- Use Windows Mail or Mac Mail.
- Use Outlook or Thunderbird.
- Use IMAP for receiving and SMTP for sending.

Option 3: Forward To Gmail
Risk
- Forwarding only helps mail arrive in Gmail.
- Sending as your domain may need extra setup.
Prevention
- Set forwarding from hosting email to Gmail.
- Keep a copy in hosting mailbox if needed.
- Check SPF, DKIM, and DMARC for sending.

Google is phasing out Gmail web checking external mailboxes by POP.
Your hosting email can still be accessed by Webmail at https://yourdomain.com/webmail.
You may also use Windows Mail, Mac Mail, Outlook, or Thunderbird with IMAP and SMTP.
If you only want incoming mail to appear in Gmail, email forwarding can also be used.
