1. Service Direction / Introduction / Scope
This onboarding guide applies to all iCoreHosting colocation services, including single-server colocation, quarter/half/full racks, and multi-rack deployments. The purpose is to ensure a smooth and predictable onboarding process from order confirmation to going live.
2. Service Transparency
iCoreHosting provides clear and transparent information regarding:
- Rack & power allocation
- Assigned IP addresses
- Delivery & installation procedures
- Visitation requirements
- Remote hands availability
No hidden conditions — all required procedures are stated upfront in the onboarding confirmation email.
3. Description of Content / Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Confirm Your Colocation Plan
After payment and order approval, iCoreHosting will send a confirmation email containing:
- Rack location & power allocation details
- Assigned IP address(es)
- Delivery instructions & DC address
- Visitation form link: https://www.icore.com.my/dc-visitation
Step 2: Prepare Your Equipment
Please ensure the following before sending your hardware to the data center:
- Rack-mountable server with its own official rack mount kit (rails or brackets)
- All servers/equipment are required to have their own rack mount kit
- If rack mount kit is not provided, an additional server tray is required
- Additional server tray uses additional rack U and requires pre-arrangement
- Client is required to bring their own RJ45 LAN cable
- Client is required to bring their own C13 to C14 power cable
- Properly labeled power & network cables
- Remote management configured (iLO / iDRAC / IPMI)
- MAC address ready if required for whitelist
Step 3: Schedule Delivery & Installation
- Submit a DC visitation request at least 24 hours in advance
- Choose one of the following:
- Self-installation – You or your engineer install the equipment
- Remote Hands Installation – iCoreHosting installs on your behalf (fees may apply)
Step 4: Installation, Setup & Testing
After installation, iCoreHosting will:
- Confirm your server is powered on
- Verify network connectivity
- Provide remote access confirmation
You may request DNS or IP configuration assistance through the support portal.
Step 5: Go Live
- Begin monitoring traffic and server operations
- Submit support requests via: https://www.icore.com.my/support
4. Power Allocation Reference
All colocation plans include a specific power allocation. If the server or equipment exceeds the allocated power usage, additional charges may apply based on the excess consumption.

5. Security
- All visitors must be registered using the Visitation Form
- Identity verification is required at the DC entrance
- Servers must be properly labeled with customer name or service ID
- Customer must secure their own OS, passwords, and firewall rules
6. Common Mistakes
- Arriving without submitting the visitation form
- Missing official rack mount kit (rails)
- Expecting iCoreHosting to provide rack kits onsite
- Unlabeled cables or mixed power cables
- No remote access configured before arrival
- Bringing oversized or unsupported equipment

8. Malaysia Acts / Compliance
This onboarding process aligns with the Malaysia Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). iCoreHosting will not access your server data unless explicitly authorized for troubleshooting.
9. Responsibility Breakdown
iCoreHosting Responsibilities:
- Provide rack space, power, and network
- Ensure DC physical and network security
- Process visitation and access requests
- Provide remote hands when requested
Client Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain their own hardware
- Secure OS, applications, and credentials
- Monitor their own server performance
- Ensure power usage is within allocation
10. Service Boundaries
- iCoreHosting does not provide OS management
- Hardware troubleshooting is customer responsibility
- Remote hands is limited to physical tasks only
11. Limitations
- Emergency delivery depends on staff availability
- High-power servers require approval
- IP allocation depends on availability & justification

Q: Can I send my server at night?
A: Yes. Emergency arrangements are possible with prior confirmation.

A: No, unless requested under a separate service.
