Prevention

  • MYNIC may request NRIC or SSM validation if records do not match.

Starting transfer near expiry date.
Using an outdated Admin Contact email.
Forgetting to approve the MYNIC email.
Submitting the wrong EPP Code.

Malaysia Acts / Compliance Notes

Malaysian domain registration and transfer are subject to MYNIC rules, domain registrant verification, and applicable Malaysian requirements.

Customer information such as name, company details, email address, NRIC, SSM details, or supporting documents must be accurate and may be required for validation.

Service Boundaries

  • iCoreHosting can guide and submit the transfer request after receiving correct information.
  • Transfer approval depends on the Admin Contact email approval and MYNIC processing.
  • Domain transfer does not automatically move website files, email data, DNS records, or hosting content.
  • Old registrar approval, outdated records, wrong EPP Code, or failed validation may delay the transfer.
  • No provider should promise that a domain transfer will never face delay.

No. Domain transfer and website migration are different services.

Q: Who must approve the transfer?

The Admin Contact listed in WHOIS must approve the MYNIC email.

Q: What if my Admin Contact email is wrong?

Ask your current registrar to update it before starting the transfer.

Q: When should I start?

Best practice is at least 30 days before domain expiry.

Use Case

A company wants to centralize Malaysian domain billing and management under iCoreHosting.

The company requests EPP Code from the current registrar, checks the Admin Contact email, submits transfer in iCoreHosting Client Area, then approves the MYNIC email.

Final Reminder

Start early. Check the email. Keep the EPP Code ready. Approve the MYNIC transfer email once received.
