How to Add Google Verification TXT Records in cPanel

 

If Google has asked you to verify your domain by adding a TXT record, you can easily do this in cPanel by following these steps:

 

Step 1: Log in to cPanel

 

1.Visit your cPanel URL (usually https://yourdomain.com:2083).

2.Enter your username and password to access your cPanel dashboard.

 

Step 2: Open the Zone Editor

 

1.In the cPanel dashboard, locate the Domains section.

2.Click on Zone Editor.

 

Step 3: Add a TXT Record

 

1.Find the domain you need to verify and click Manage to open its DNS records.

2.Click Add Record and choose TXT Record.

3.Fill out the form:

Name: Enter @ or your domain name (e.g., example.com).

TTL: Use the default value (e.g., 14400).

TXT Data: Copy and paste the verification code provided by Google. It will look something like this:

 

google-site-verification=your_verification_code

 

 

4.Click Save Record to save the changes.

 

Step 4: Wait for DNS Propagation

 

DNS changes may take some time to propagate. It typically takes a few minutes but can take up to 48 hours.

 

To confirm if the TXT record is active, you can use tools like:

Google Admin Toolbox

•Perform a TXT record lookup for your domain.

 

Step 5: Verify with Google

 

1.Go back to the Google verification page.

2.Click Verify.

3.If the TXT record has been set up correctly, Google will complete the verification process.
